Some scented soaps and foods may leave residual smells on silicone material. For best results, hand wash with a natural, unscented dish soap. Here are more tips:

1. Submerge the silicone item in a mixture of hot water (silicone may be boiled) and white vinegar, using 1 cup of vinegar for every 2 cups of water. Soak for 30 minutes, then scrub with a gentle sponge.
2. Coat with a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda, using 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Allow to sit overnight, then rinse.
